Nerdy Cafe
Nerdy is a board game café and events venue in Shrewsbury town centre.
An alcohol free, family friendly, fully inclusive environment that offers an extensive library of board games, private hire spaces, an exciting and delicious food menu and, of course, superb coffee.
SEND families are welcomed, the SEND community use the space regularly for group activities too.
The Sports Village offers a variety of accessible opportunities ranging from their inclusive gym sessions, accessible and adapted bikes on the cycling track, and accessible sports.
Their website does not always reflect the bespoke and adapted opportunities they provide, so we encourage families to make contact with them to explore what's on offer.
SEND community members have attended multiple opportunities at the Sports Village and report an inclusive environment with positive experiences.
The Country Park has a variety of events and activities scheduled throughout the year.
They have accessible pathways and a visitor centre with accessible facilities.
The nature trail includes a sensory path and some wheelchair accessible paths too.
Severn Valley Country Park host accessible activities, as well as inclusive arts and theatre opportunities.

Buddies Social Network
Buddies Social Network is PACC’s Term-Time activity offer. The aim of Buddies is to bring together children and young people with SEND and their parent carers, to support the development of friendships and to build confidence in accessing activities in the community. The aim of Buddies is to bring together young people with SEND and their parent carers, to support the development of friendships and to build confidence in accessing activities in the community.
Buddies activities are for young people aged 14 – 25 years, with a focus on supporting young people with SEND to prepare for adulthood.
Healthy Lives Programme
The Healthy Lives Programme is PACC’s Holiday offer. Healthy Lives offers a variety of activities to support physical and mental wellbeing, providing young people with SEND with opportunities to catch up with friends and be active.
During school holidays, we offer activity sessions for 8-14 year old’s and 14-25 year old’s. Over the summer holidays, we have an increased offer, including all-age family activities and an increased offer for young people with more complex needs.
Pop on your welly boots and follow our waymarked, free-to-access walking trails, for an idyllic wander through our pastures, woodland or along the banks of the River Tern.
Enjoy our café space, Arthur’s Farm Kitchen, or feel free to bring a picnic to enjoy in our picnic areas, or beneath the shade of a tree.

A North Shropshire based sailing club offering "Sailability" opportunities with accessible sailing boats (limited accessibility).
The site is well appointed to meet most needs and has produced an accessibility statement to support people to access the club and facilities.

The Woodland Trust promote inclusive and accessible activities across public spaces. On their website you will find a range of activities that you can enjoy in your local area.
Many woodland areas now have accessible routes and some have specially designed pathways for power wheelchairs too.
Being out in nature can be enjoyed alone or as a group. Games and activities can help keep everyone entertained on a nice exploration or walk.
Empathy are a South Shropshire based community led group who facilitate and host activities to support those with Neurodivergent needs and hidden disabilities.
Empathy is a membership based group, so you do need to register to participate.

Buddies Jnr Social Network

Buddies Jnr activities are for younger children aged 8 to 14 years. Buddies also provides important opportunities for parent carers to come together, to share information and experiences and to benefit from peer support.
Jump In SEN sessions are perfect for autism groups and for parents looking for activities in a calmer environment.
These sessions are capped (less people), no music and reduced lighting to avoid glare.
SEN Sessions are £12pp and carers are free of charge. Carers must provide a valid ID at check-in to redeem the free ticket.
