We are a well established equestrian centre in the South of Shropshire with over 30 years experience in working with children and young people with SEND.
We have a welcoming wooden chalet where families can sit and enjoy a warm drink and a chat while their child/young person participates in one of our sessions. We provide drinks and snacks on special occasions as well as special guests, including Santa Claus!
There is an accessible woodland walk, lake, and plenty of fields to explore when you visit and we encourage families to stay and enjoy our peaceful corner of the world for as long as they would like.
If your child / young person requires 1:1 support to allow them to participate in our activities, we kindly ask that a Personal Assistant or family member attends with them to provide any support needed.
If your child / young person requires a full changing facility with hoist, please check with us about facility access.

Woodland Trek & Riding Skills:
Riders will be able to enjoy some time in the arena developing their riding skills whilst taking part in some fun activities. The session will be concluded with a small hack/woodland walk through our wider grounds to allow riders to test their skills in handling the horses and ponies.
Children and young people will be provided with a riding hat for safety but they must come appropriately dressed for the weather and activity as we are an outdoor facility. Please advise us of any allergies or complex needs that we may need to be aware of and cater for.

Progression & Development:
Riders may be offered the opportunity to develop their riding skills using our bespoke Actio Progression Chart. In sessions we can focus on all of the elements required to care for, and enjoy working with, horses and ponies. We aim to use this time to develop key skills within individuals and supporting their personal growth and development based on their skills, confidence, and needs.
We recognise the valuable influence working with animals can have, and hope to support positive mental and emotional wellbeing through the programme alongside developing skills where a child shows an interest in doing so.
