Activities are running all day with a short lunch break, and can be accessed at any time.

Bailiff’s Cottage

• Herbs & Spices: Make “smelly bags”, pick herbs, grind spices with a pestle & mortar, and learn how they were used.

• Laundry: Try the dolly tub and mangle, grate soap, and have a go at the outdoor laundry area.

Bailiff’s Fruit & Vegetable Garden

•  Sieve compost, plant seeds, and water the beds.

Fleece Barn

•  Card wool, use a drop spindle or spinning wheel, twist cord, and explore jars filled with natural fibres.

Kibbling

• Turn the handle to grind wheat, then feed the chickens and ducks.

Handling Table

• Explore a variety of everyday items, feel different shapes and materials, and guess their uses.

Around the Farm

• Meet our Shire horses (friendly but not for touching)

• See rare and heritage farm animals

• Discover traditional farm buildings and demonstrations
